Appleton’s Octoberfest starts early with our Octoberfest Golf Outing! Get your lederhosen on and bring those clubs to High Cliff Golf Course on September 19. This 18 hole scramble will give you a taste of what’s to come during Appleton‘s Octoberfest and License to Cruise. Sample beers that will be served, view classic cars that will be on display, see our new event merchandise, and much more. And, of course, we will start the golf outing with a traditional celebratory Octoberfest toast!

The Guardian Kids Fun Run is designed so that every child leaves the event feeling like a winner and sporting a medal. We do not award trophies to the fastest children overall, but rather reward and acknowledge each and every child who comes out and participates. Games, prizes and free food for participants. Participants receive a goodie bag, shirt and medal. Diaper Dash & Toddler Trot receives Huggies products.

Run, jog or walk the exciting 3.1 mile course, starting & finishing at Riverside Park all while raising funds for cancer research! Not only does the course feature flat terrain and residential neighborhoods, participants finish at the same location as the Sunday Marathon & Half Marathon. All participants will receive their shirt at registration/packet pick-up. Finishers will receive a FINISHER’S medal to commemorate their race participation and finish at the Ascension 5K Run/Walk. Post-race refreshments will also be available to all finishers. This is stroller and dog friendly! The little riders & furry friends do not need to be registered.

The Community First Fox Cities Marathon features over 7 miles of paved trail running, the longest pedestrian bridge in Wisconsin – the 1,600 foot Fox Cities Trestle Trail Bridge, and many more miles of scenic park and waterfront sections. The race begins in front of the Barlow Planetarium on the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus in Menasha and continues to make its way through six Fox Cities communities before finishing at scenic Riverside Park near downtown Neenah.

Sunday, October 27, 2024 join us at Mulberry Lane Farm for a farm-friendly costume party.
Children ages 2 to 12 will receive $2 off their admission when they are dressed in their Halloween costume.
At 12:00 PM we’ll have a parade of costumes in the big barn Sunday.
1st place will receive a Gift Certificate for 4 ($60 value) to visit the farm in 2025.
2nd place – GC for 3 ($45 value)
3rd place – GC for 2 ($30 value)
Contest Guidelines:
Added points for those dressed as a farm animal.
Added points for family participation
Limit one win per participant.
All other farm activities will still be going on. Catch a Chicken, Pet a Pig, Milk a Cow, Hayride to PuMpKiN Patch to pick your own FREE pumpkin too!
The food trailer will be open with a limited menu. As items run out they won’t be replenished so come early for your special treats. Caramel apples, hot State Fair mini donuts, hot apple cider, hot dogs, & chili are just a few of the delectable fall favorites available for purchase. Or bring a picnic lunch. Carry-ins are welcome.
