FREEDOM, Wis–Town of Freedom officials blame unplowed roads in a new subdivision on the developer. Residents of the Country Fields Subdivision complained to the town after their streets were not plowed following Saturday’s snowstorm.
Town officials point out that an ordinance requires the developer of a subdivision to let officials know that street work has been completed so it can be inspected and admitted into the township. The developer of Country Fields has not done that yet.
The town had previously approached the developer about a “hold harmless” agreement that would allow the town to plow the subdivision and bill the developer, but that also fell through.
