GREEN LAKE, Wis. — A 12-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a car in Green Lake.
The police department says John “Emmett” Zodrow was riding his bicycle along Hill Street near the Green Lake Library around 9:55 a.m. Wednesday when a car driven by 85-year-old Jean Woolley ran over the curb and pinned him under the vehicle.
Zodrow was taken to the Ripon Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses say Woolley was trying to park in an angled spot when she went over the curb.
