APPLETON, Wis. — A concert documentary on Appleton’s Mile of Music Festival will soon air on PBS Wisconsin.
The piece, just shy of an hour long, features live performances and artist interviews, giving viewers a front row seat to Mile of Music.
Colin Crowley, Senior Multimedia Producer with PBS Wisconsin joined Hayley Tenpas during Focus Fox Valley.
He shared how the project is the result of a partnership between PBS Wisconsin and the Mile of Music festival that started back in 2019, when PBS Wisconsin first scouted the festival and came up with ideas on how to film it.
“Our camera crews took a very specific approach towards filming in the venues that we feel resulted in an organic style that will give viewers across the state, and across the country a taste of what it is like to experience Mile of Music as a festival-goer,” shared Crowley. “We put the viewer right in the front row and capture the intimate moments that make Mile of Music so unique.”
The concert documentary will air Monday June 23rd at 8pm on PBS Wisconsin. You can also watch it on the PBS Wisconsin website.
