Another annual tradition won’t happen this year — the Labor Day Parade in Menasha and Neenah.
Neenah Mayor Dean Kaufert says he’s disappointed, but he understands. He thinks it’s still important to recognize union and non-union workers on Labor Day, for what they do in the Fox Valley.
Kaufert believes Neenah has probably been able to hold the most community activities in the area. He says they put on the Fourth of July fireworks, used parks to space people out for the Future Neenah summer concert series, and kept the swimming pool open.
He stresses they’ve held those events, while trying to be as safe as possible, to protect people.
