It’s a tradition almost as timeless as the Kentucky Derby itself. In fact, in its 151 runs, Aaron Rodgers has been in attendance for 143 of them. Obviously that is an exaggeration, but it is not newsworthy that the Derby red carpet was graced with the NFL great and his annual entourage. It’s what he does. What has sparked a firestorm of conversation since the late afternoon hours of May 3, 2025, is what the quarterback was wearing. He may be a free agent by NFL standards, but if his left ring finger is any indicator, he is very, very much taken.

On an April 17, 2025 episode of the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers revealed that he was in a “serious relationship.” Was that an understatement of epic proportions and the knot has already been tied, or is this much ado about nothing and he’s simply rockin’ an Oura ring or a mood ring or some discreet ayahuasca drip? Of course, there is a 3rd option that ought not be ignored. Rodgers, a brilliant manipulator of the information cycle, just might be intentionally playing everyone for the fool. Let’s be honest, Aaron Rodgers always knows what he is doing.
