The White Sox entered Wednesday averaging just 2.7 runs per game on the road this season, which ranks 27th in the league, while the Twins are 26th in scoring with just over 3.4 runs per game. White Sox starting pitcher Shane Smith has allowed just one home run across 22 1/3 innings over his first four starts, with a 2.82 ERA. Twins starter Chris Paddack enters having allowed just three runs across his past two starts, racking up 11 strikeouts in 10 innings.

Orioles pitcher Cade Povich has struggled significantly on the road during his career, with a 6.81 ERA, over 1.5 home runs allowed per nine innings, and a drop in strikeouts per nine from 8.8 at home to 6.6 away.
