The Green Blizzard Blizzard made it three straight in the win column, defeating the visiting Sioux Falls Storm 48-35 on Friday night in front of a crowd of over 6,600 at the Resch Center in Green Bay. Blizzard QB, Max Meylor, accounted for all six of the team’s touchdowns, three through the air and a trio on the ground, as the Blizzard improved to 3-1 on the young season.
It was a back-and-forth affair early, tied 14-14 with 6:06 to go in the second quarter, when a Meylor scamper from one yard out, inside of one-minute to play in the half, gave the Blizzard a lead (21-14) they would never relinquish.
The Storm stayed in striking distance, pulling to within one score in the fourth (35-42), but a pair of Blizzard field goals iced the victory and kept Sioux Falls winless on the season (0-4).
The Blizzard (3-1) stay home for another Friday night affair at the Resch Center on April 26th, battling the Iowa Barnstormers (0-3), who they dismissed in week two.
