As the old adage goes, “turnabout is fair play.” Fresh off her NCAA Women’s Basketball national championship appearance, University of Iowa superstar, Caitlin Clark, popped in to Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” on Saturday, turning the joke telling tables on SNL’s Michael Che.
Following a video montage of some of Che’s past pokes at women’s basketball (with an assist from host Colin Jost), the presumed #1 pick in upcoming WNBA draft went on offense, asking Che to read the cards for a collection of jokes that she wrote, and as Clark has done throughout her record setting career, she delivered in the clutch.
Clark concluded with a moving shout-out to basketball legends Sheryl Swoopes, Lisa Leslie, Cynthia Cooper, Dawn Staley and Maya Moore for blazing the trail, and presented Che with an autographed apron.
