O.J. Simpson passed away from cancer Wednesday at the age of 76, his family has confirmed on X (Twitter). Simpson embodied both fame and infamy in his 76 years. The Heisman Trophy winner (1968), NFL Hall of Fame inductee (1985), and actor, is also well known as the defendant in what was dubbed the trial of the century, a 1995 murder trial in which Simpson was acquitted of the 1994 double-murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman.
On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer.
He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.
