The state has a new registration system for coronavirus testing sites that the Wisconsin National Guard is running.
Stephanie Smiley of the state Department of Health Services says COVID Connect lets people signup online. She says they’re seeing increased demand for tests, and the process will be more efficient.
Smiley says it’s also important to get enough information about each person getting a test, and their situation.
Smiley says after someone registers, they’ll get an email with a code that will be linked to their test. When the results are in, another email will have a link to the results.
The state started using COVID Connect at a testing site in Madison, and it will be rolled out at other National Guard testing sites soon.
