Fireworks sales are up for one owner.
Chuck Krause owns Fireworks Mart stores in Neenah and Menasha. He believes the 20 percent increase is at least in part because so many fireworks shows were canceled. He thinks it would’ve been busier anyway, because the holiday fell on a Saturday this year.
Krause says they sell a lot of city-safe fireworks, but there are several that need permits. And he thinks most people don’t apply for them.
