A company in Greenville is helping make the N-95 masks that are in demand for health care workers.
5K Fibres owner Douglas Burton Brown says they’re producing the non-woven fabric. With two machines running at all times, he says they can make enough for about five million masks a day.
Burton Brown then sends the materials to another company.
He recently bought a former Kimberly-Clark plant in Neenah, and he hopes to start production there next month. He believes within a year, they can make enough fabric for more than one billion masks every month.
