The top official in Neenah would like to see bars reopen sometime next month.
Mayor Dean Kaufert also owns The Dome Sports Bar and Grill on that city’s south side.
He thinks bars will have a smaller capacity, at least initially, and they’ll need to move tables and follow social distancing guidelines.
Kaufert believes workers are also going to have to pay special attention to cleaning. He thinks customers will be watching for that.
The Tavern League of Wisconsin wants to reopen all bars and restaurants in the state on May 1st. The group sent a letter to Governor Evers and state lawmakers.
