Papa Murphy’s Pizza Presents the High School Team of the Week.
The Rockets took home the Division 1 State Team Title Saturday (10/27) at the state meet held at the The Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids. Matt Meinke paced all Neenah runners with a 3rd place finish (15:39.9), also scoring points for the Rockets in the team competition were; Griffin Congdon (12th, 16:19.2), Trenton Bauer (14th, 16:20.5), Austin Henderson (17th, 16:22.8) and Joe Murray (78th, 17:11). It was the first team title since 2001 for Neenah, who were led by interim head coach Mike Jovanovich. Jovanovich stepped in for John Morgen, a cololnel in the Army National Guard who’s currently deployed in Jordan.
The winning school receives a plaque from J & B Trophy, located at 104 East Wisconsin in Appleton. Congratulations to this week’s winner!
